If you are an avid fisherman, then you might already have a few rods, and always have the right to Step dumb right kind of water. If you are new to fishing, or perhaps never understood why you might need more than one rod, here are some reasons you might be better with a few fishing rods.
1. If you fish for salmon, you'll know what the requirements are for a decent salmon fishing rod, and the same goes for trout. If you want to fish for other types of fish, or are going from fishing by the side of a lake, to wearing waders and standing in a river for a day, you might have different requirements for your fishing rod, and fishing tackle. It might be easier to set up a new rod, than change reels and lines when you want to catch different sorts of fish.
2. You might have recently started sea fishing, or moved from the seaside to somewhere where you'll be fishing for salmon or trout. You current fishing tackle might not be right for the sort of fishing you'll be doing now.
3. You might have started fishing in different sorts of waters. The fishing rod that is suitable when you're sitting by a lake all day, might not be the best when you're fishing in a narrow river with overhanging trees.
4. You might prefer to have a different rod for different times of year when the water levels are either higher or lower, and you might be catching different sorts of fish.
5. You'll probably want to go fishing on holiday, but are anxious about travelling with your favourite fishing rod. Why not have a more basic and cheaper set up that you can take on holiday and not mind too much if it gets a bit bumped.
6. Your children might have shown an interest in fishing, and want to try it out for themselves. If they're really keen, perhaps you could buy them a rod, or buy yourself a new onw, so that they can have their own fishing rod.
7. If you have a spare fishing rod, you can always keep it in the car, or have it handy so that you're always ready for a fishing trip, no matter how last minute it is.
8. You might be a fan of new technology, and want to try the latest fishing rod technology, in order to give you the best chance of catching fish. By updating your fishing tackle, you'll have no excuses for not catching anything!
9. If you're getting back into fishing, and not sure on the state of your fishing gear, then why not treat yourself to a new fishing rod? If your old fishing tackle is still useable, you can use it as a spare, or a holiday rod if you don't think it is good enough for a main rod.
10. If you're new to fishing, and currently using a friend's old fishing gear, then there will come a time when you'll have to buy your own. Why not treat yourself, and see if you can catch more when you're using tyour choice of fishing rod?
Now you know why you need a new fishing rod, isn't it time you treated yourself?
